Preview Of The 2010 Queen Of The South Stakes

April 12th, 2010

This Saturday, the Morphettville Racecourse in Adelaide will be host to eight fantastic horse races forming part of the Adelaide Racing Carnival.

One of which will be the $150,000 Group 2 Queen Of The South Stakes (1600m) which draws in some of the state’s top fillies and mares.

At least three years of age, the starters will compete over the 1,600 metre gallop for a share in the prize purse under set weights plus penalties.

Ocean Challenger may well be a mare to watch if she starts the 2010 Queen of the South Stakes.

Another could be the John Moloney-trained Amberino who was runner up in the race last year.

Also taking place on Saturday at the Morphettville Racecourse will be the Group 3 DC McKay Stakes (1100m).
